What's inside the PokeBall?

Now, we all have seen that a PokeBall minimizes the size of a Pokemon it catches to fit it inside the PokeBall. The PokeBall itself is really small, the size of the palm. So that means that the Pokemon must be minimized a lot for it to have some space. Now my question is, what does a Pokemon do inside the PokeBall? I mean, it can't just stay inside doing nothing. The point of this thread is to talk about what you think a Pokemon does inside the PokeBall unless it is called out :3

I think that they have a pool table where they play billiard to kill time XD

I think they splat in pool of blood and when Ash(or any other character) throws pokeball they revives and battles again
